Great Listings Really do Matter!
If you want your listing to make an impact, and to receive great enquiries for your service, then it must be carefully put together. Whether you’re doing it for yourself, or as a profile angel, always consider what your potential customer is looking for.
What do you offer: Make sure it’s clear on what the services are that you offer in your description, and in your use of tags. Search will search categories, tags and descriptions. Put your target market into tags e.g. Mums
Get the basics right: Spelling and grammar – the number 1 factor to completely kill your credibility. Get it right. So spell checks, ask someone to read it for you.
Contact Details: Make sure you contact details are correct, and that you have them all. Numbers, email addresses – check them and check they work on one click from a mobile device.
Establish Credibility: It is very important that you are seen as a credible service provider. One that you can be trusted, and secondly, that you know what you’re doing. If you have big clients names, mention them. If you have training and qualifications, mention that. Ensure you images showcase the best of your work (e.g. before and after). Make sure your customers write reviews for you.
Be Likeable: So important. Come across as a nice company with nice people. Make sure you language is personal. Make sure in any images, you and your staff or customers are smiling. Mention your personal motivations.
What are others saying: Get those reviews from you customers – make sure you’re always getting new ones. Ask you customers, do it with them, follow up with them if they forget. It’s SO IMPORTANT.
Examples of your work: Use the images, and add links to your descriptions. Show your potential customers what you’re capable of OR how much it costs OR how long it takes OR what their experience will be like.
How will you add Value: Be clear and descriptive on how you will add value to your customer. ‘e.g.: You will be delighted’, ‘You will be relaxed’, ‘Your child will be happy and educated’, ‘You will love your restored furniture’.
Great Images: A picture is worth a thousand words. Most of the time, this is 100% true. Ensure you add a selected batch of images into your gallery. Things like, your team, yourself (smiling), your offices, before and after. Describe them (e.g. costs, time to complete etc.)
Refresh you listing: Regularly review your listing, and make sure all the details are up to date. Get new reviews, change your images, change your message to your customers. Add news blogs to your listing.
Market your listing: VERY IMPORTANT. Market your listing. Make sure you have the listing address on your phone, so you can easily send it to potential customers. Make sure you regularly post it on different forums that allow it. Get it onto Facebook
